I am a highly experienced Museum Curator and Manager with over thirty years' experience, the Diploma of the Museums Association and a Masters degree in Museum and Gallery Management.

During my time in London, I have built up a network of useful contacts in the sector plus expertise regarding cataloguing, care and conservation of collections, storage of exhibits under appropriate conditions and setting up of displays and exhibitions.

I have helped several relatives clear their homes including large libraries of books, historical artefacts, clothing and furniture, artworks and portraits. I have assisted an elderly woman in Hampstead sell some antique furniture and advised a sculptor’s widow on the possibilities for her late husband’s artworks and worked for an artist’s agent based in Chelsea.

I have lived in NW London for almost 20 years and am familiar with both local and London-wide museums, galleries, heritage-related organisations and relevant charities and businesses.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Collections management
  • Collections relocation
  • Short-term cover for museum management posts
  • Staff and volunteer supervision
  • Temporary and long-term interpretation and exhibition development and project management
  • Temporary and long-term interpretation and exhibition development and project management

From 2016 - 2017 I successfully managed the sorting, cataloguing and packing and decant of a major East London museum collection (archaeology, art, local and social history, textiles and ceramics) completed on time and within budget.

I am able to quickly understand complex work issues and environments and lead change in consultation with stakeholders.

I have curated many exhibitions including Great Bridges of the World at Tower Bridge and numerous community-linked displays for local museums.

I have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance and am Registered Waste Carrier and Broker no: CBDU41600.
